| I had planned to visit Sanna at her long term study/workcamp for quite
some time. She has pretty much just begun her time there. She
actually lives in the small village above Berzona. It reminds me
a lot of Zonca since, to get there, you must hike. They have a few
lifts there that work very well. On our way up to the village I
left my backpack in the lift and after 17:00 we brought it up. Thank
god, it was a rough climb! Sanna had not operated the lift by herself
yet so she was a little nervous, but everything turned out fine!
One morning the group was doing something and I decided to take a hike further up the hill and take a few pictures. This particular dam was featured in GoldenEye, one of the James Bond movies. In the movie it's supposed to be somewhere in Russia, but now I know it's just in the southern part of Switzerland! I actually hiked a little further up the hill from here. I took the pictures of the lake from this spot and this crumbling house that had the grass cleared like someone still lived there. Later on that same day Sanna and I went on a hike to the dam. The valley below the dam is way down there. I remember being quite nervous looking down. This is part of Berzona right off the main road, we hiked for about an hour down the road to reach the dam. |
