After working on the farm, a popular event was to make the short walk or drive to the close beach before we headed back to our home or somewhere else for the evening.  I normally tried to tread water for, at least, 30 minutes, the afternoons we spent lounging on this grassy carpet.  The refugees and prisoners often joined us after their afternoon shifts, but sometimes we spent the afternoon amongst our own company.
