| After getting kicked out of Certaldo I made
my way to Firenze. I'd actually made a few day trips to Firenze while
I was staying in Certaldo. Firenze is silly with tourists... and
sometimes it's difficult to just walk down the street!
This is a famous bridge in Firenze, I think it's ugly.. it's where to snobs shop to buy jewelry. It's probably where my thief went with my credit cards! I took a few photo's of Firenze from across the river from the height of the Piazza della Michelangelo: I also spent some time in Plazzo Vecchio, it's an open air museum of sorts. Firenze boasts the 4th largest Cathedral in the world. The inside is incredible! I visited there a few times. Here are some abstract art photo's of the interior: I met up with Curtis a few days later. This is a photo of the Cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore from their hotel's balcony, plush! There is a Baptistery next to the Cathedral with some very ornate doors. It's called the Baptistery of Saint John. This is one of the panes on the door. One day Nicola and I climbed to the top of the Cathedral. What a great view! After running around that particular day, mostly at the Baptistery, I tried to head back to camp, but the police made me walk about two miles out of my way to get back. When I finally cooled down, Firenze was putting on a fireworks show. I took a lot of pictures of the fireworks. These are the selected best. |
