| The Como hostel closed early this year so I
headed out to Verona. I'm very glad I did, it is a really nice town.
It was about a 45 minute walk from the train station to the hostel.
Right down at the base of the hill that the hostel was located was this
nice view of the river and some of the buildings in Verona. I took
this picture from a pedestrian bridge, about a 10 minute walk from the
hostel.
Above the hostel there are plenty of places to walk. At the top of this small hill you can get quite a few of Verona. These pictures are from this little square above the hostel. You can see the pedestrian bridge I took the previous picture from the prior day.
One Sunday Verona was having this festival where all the museums, castles and other exhibits were open free to the public. I spent a lot of time in museums and a few art galleries that day. But I first made my way to the Verona arena, wow!
